ECON 145 - Economics of Ocean Resources (Squires)

Prof Squires has been teaching this course forever! I started holding review sessions for it in 2005 and this will be the 10th time I held tutorials for it.

Econ 145 is a fun and interesting class. The tests are not too difficult. You basically need to apply the concepts that you learned in econ 2, 100B and 100C. It is not hard but there are lots of graphs. Externalities, property rights, taxes and tradeable permits are major topics for the course. Along the way you get to learn lots of interesting things about sea turtles, coral reefs, dolphins and whales. A lot of the concepts will be very familiar if you have already taken econ 131.
